The Website

I created my Neocities profile on February 28th 2024 and tried learning some HTML, but lost energy pretty quickly. I then started relearning HTML/CSS again around February 2025, and procrastinated again. I actually started coding this website seriously and for-realsies on February 28th 2026. I don't know why February seems to be my "Lets Pick Up HTML" month but it's fun to see a my personal website actually exist now.

Why did I make a personal website? I like having a space to share whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want. I've found myself feeling less inclined to stay active on social media and the big online social spaces are getting a bit too negative for my liking. Also, coding this site is pretty fun and gives me something productive (hopefully) to do and new puzzles (my sloppy coding work) to solve.

The current color scheme of the site is inspired by my Pokemon trainer sona's outfit, which was inspired by shiny Decidueye's look.

Credits & Resources

I made this website in Notepad++.

I mainly learned how to code my website through guides from HTML Dog and W3Schools.

I used a few resources from petrapixel, particularly the premade javascript template to load the same layout mutliple pages (slightly modified based on a comment that had a similar need that I was having,the code for the Status Cafe widget, and the guide for updating my Neocities site through GitHub.

Any buttons I use throughout my site that don't already link to their creator may be linked back to their source on my buttons & graphics page (if a source is available).
